The Café in the Park is run by Ian and Carly Trisk-Grove. We live in the town centre of Rickmansworth with our two young boys. We both started our work life in the corporate world and although the days of '9-5' are far behind us, we are grateful for a fantastic grounding in the disciplines of business.

Carly's passion has always been for food. Having been a non-meat eater for over 20 years I feel that the food industry has a lot to answer for. As a nation we have lost our instinct for what tastes good and what is acceptable in terms of animal welfare and food production. We have forgotten that bread should be baked fresh every day, without the use of preservatives, that milk doesn’t need to travel miles, it can come directly from the local dairy herd, that happy animals produce the best meat and that cakes and biscuits made from free range eggs and by hand, simply taste better. Serving great tasting, simple and honest food was and is our objective.
